Follow-Up Care

Practical information for continuing appointments

Follow-up appointments are used to review changes, assess your response to recommendations, and decide what should happen next. Care is scheduled according to clinical need rather than a predetermined package.

When a follow-up may be useful

A follow-up appointment may be appropriate when:

You have completed the initial recommendations

Symptoms or physical capacity have changed

You have new laboratory or specialist information

A medication or treatment plan has changed

Nutrition or supplementation needs adjustment

You are ready to progress movement or rehabilitation

A plan has become too complicated

You are moving into a different Epi-AIP Phase

You are experiencing a flare or loss of stability

You need to decide whether continued care is useful

The timing of follow-up depends upon the purpose of the plan and what is being observed between appointments.

Before your appointment

Please provide any relevant updates before the visit:

You do not need to submit a complete diary unless one has been specifically requested. A brief summary of what improved, what worsened, and what remained unchanged is usually sufficient.

Instructions for submitting records securely will be provided with your appointment confirmation. Please do not send detailed private health information through ordinary email.

During the appointment

We will review:

When relevant, we may also reconsider:

The purpose is not to add something new at every appointment. Sometimes the most useful decision is to continue the present plan long enough to evaluate it. At other times, the plan may need to be reduced, redirected, or brought back toward Phase One.

Possible follow-up recommendations

Depending upon your situation, the appointment may include:

Adjustments to nutrition

Review of supplementation

Changes to movement, pacing, or rehabilitation

Sleep or recovery guidance

Acupuncture during an in-person visit

Review of existing laboratory findings

Questions to discuss with your physician or specialist

Recommendations for further assessment

A transition into another Epi-AIP Phase

A plan for monitoring without immediate further treatment

Any recommended changes should have a clear purpose and a point of reassessment.

Follow-up frequency

Some people benefit from several appointments over a short period. Others require only occasional review as treatment, nutrition, symptoms, and physical capacity change.

At each visit, we will consider:

You are not required to book ongoing care when it is no longer useful.

Online follow-ups

Appropriate for:

In-person follow-ups

May also include:

The appointment type should match the purpose of the visit.

Significant changes between appointments

Contact your physician or another appropriate healthcare provider when symptoms are new, severe, rapidly worsening, or outside the scope of the current plan. The clinic does not provide emergency or urgent medical care.

Do not wait for a scheduled follow-up when you are concerned that immediate assessment may be needed.

Prescribed medications should not be stopped or changed without consulting the practitioner responsible for prescribing and monitoring them.
